dwr.war should ship with SLF4J rather than JCL so it will run on glassfish etc.

    The documentation (http://www.slf4j.org/legacy.html#jcl-over-slf4j) is scarce. But better safe than sorry so we can leave the compilation as is (with ACL) and just place SLF4J in the wars.

I just downloaded the latest v3 prelude release of glassfish and I had no issues deploying the dwr.war - everything ran fine and I didn't get any errors at start up.

JCL is known to create class loading problems for several reasons so I usually replace it with SLF4J. Now, if the demo deploys correctly in GFv3 (they've fixed their issue) and nobody has complained about other servers I would just close this.

Jose, I am aware of the class loading issues with JCL. I am wondering if we should consider replacing JCL altogether with SLF4J?

Fine with me but Joe had issues with it. It just matters for the demo app and if it deploys correctly in all servers now..

We need to test the demo app with the latest stable Glassfish release. If it deploys properly we can close this issue.
